Who / What is story about?: Thousands of sick smokers are expected to file lawsuits by Friday against the tobacco industry so they could capitalize on a recent Florida Supreme Court ruling that made it easier for them to collect money. I interviewed two sick smokers who said they would be available for photographs all day Wednesday at their homes. The first smoker is Pasquale Caprio, 78, who lives in Fort Lauderdale. The second is Ted McKeever, 77, of Davie. I told them both that a photographer might be contacting them in the morning to arrange a time to photograph them. Caprio can be reached 954-523-9492 and McKeever at 954-473-1391. Caprio is the closest and I'll be featuring him prominently. If you can't make it out to one or both, let me know and I'll call them.
